PLP CONDUIT TRANSIT PLATE

Description

Manufactured at the clients request, REPSA Yellow Coat® Conduit transit plates are designed to allow the feeding of conductors channeled through conduit pipe with an external PVC coating through walls without compromising the continuity and integrity of the electrical installation.

Features

  • External PVC coating of 0.040¨ nominal.
  • Yellow urethane protection on the threads.
  • With PVC sleeves to ensure sealing.
  • Commercial sizes of useful area from 20.0 cm to 50.0 cm.
  • Plates: Aluminum alloy 1100 (pure aluminum, minimum 99%) tensile resistant in the range of 14,000 to 24,000 psi.
  • Couplings: Copper-free aluminum schedule 40 type IPS alloy 6063 T6.
  • Upon request, PVC-coated galvanized steel studs are supplied, including nuts, washers and threads coated with yellow urethane and protective caps.
  • Upon request, it is supplied with 1/4” thick neoprene gaskets.

Exterior coating features

Hardness.

80-84 (Shore A Durometer).

Dielectric strength.

400 Volts/Mil at 60 cycles.

Aging.

1000 hours (Atlas wet UV chamber).

Elongation.

200% min.

Temperature.

Polyvinyl chloride has a crystallization temperature of 5° F (-15° C).

Flammability.

PVC coating will burn if exposed to continuous flame or heat above 400°F (204°C).

Toxicity.

Prolonged exposure to temperatures greater than 200°F (93°C) or fire may cause the PVC coating to release emissions potentially hazardous to the health of those exposed to them.

How to order

  1. Place plate root catalog: RYC-PLP
  2. Next, indicate the thickness of the plate, available in 3/4” or 1”, represented by the numbers 75 or 100 respectively.
  3. Place the suffix AL (Aluminum) to indicate the plate material.
  4. Select the sizes of the useful area of the plate (see table 3.1).
  5. Select the quantity and sizes of the threaded couplings (see table 3.2).
  6. Indicate the quantity of studs (the first number indicates the quantity of studs, subsequent characters correspond to the stud catalog, see page 65 of the catalog).
  7. Finally select N if you require a neoprene gasket to be included as additional protection, otherwise leave it blank.

Example:

3/4” thick conduit transit plate made of aluminum alloy 1100, with a total area of 50 cm x 50 cm and a useful area of 40 cm x 40 cm, with an exterior PVC coating and urethane yellow on the threads, with 2 3/4”Ø threaded couplings and 4 1” diameter threaded couplings, includes 1/4” thick neoprene gasket and 4 7/8” studs Ø x 6” long. Cat. RYC-PLP75AL4040R2B4C4ESPE6RN.
