FS AND FD CAST HUB DEVICE BOXES

Description

FS rectangular boxes and covers are available in various combinations and can be used in coated conduit systems to house wiring devices, as pull boxes for conductors, or to make splices and connections.
Covers are supplied separately.

Features

  • External PVC coating of 0.040¨ nominal.
  • 0.002¨ nominal yellow urethane interior coating.
  • Yellow urethane protection on the threads.
  • With PVC sleeves to ensure sealing.
  • Commercial sizes 1/2¨, 3/4” and 1¨ in diameter.

Exterior coating features

Hardness.

80-84 (Shore A Durometer).

Dielectric strength.

400 Volts/Mil at 60 cycles.

Aging.

1000 hours (Atlas wet UV chamber).

Elongation.

200% min.

Temperature.

Polyvinyl chloride has a crystallization temperature of 5° F (-15° C).

Flammability.

PVC coating will burn if exposed to continuous flame or heat above 400°F (204°C).

Toxicity.

Prolonged exposure to temperatures greater than 200°F (93°C) or fire may cause the PVC coating to release emissions potentially hazardous to the health of those exposed to them.
