GUA CONDUIT OUTLET BOXES

Description

GUA conduit outlet boxes are used in electrical installations for classified areas. It serves as junction and feed thru box, with access for inspection, maintenance and direction modifications of the conduit pipes. It is supplied with a ground screw.

Features

  • External PVC coating of 0.040¨ nominal.
  • 0.002¨ nominal yellow urethane interior coating.
  • Yellow urethane protection on the threads.
  • With PVC sleeves to ensure sealing.
  • Commercial sizes from 1/2¨ to 2¨ in diameter.
  • Box styles C, L, LB, T, X.
  • Made of copper-free aluminum (4/10 of 1% max) resistant to stress, and malleable iron.
  • Safety Cover lid securing system (optional) with high tensile strength and high corrosion resistance monofilament.
  • All junction boxes are supplied with a lid made of the same material as the box, and a NEMA 3 and 4 rainproof O'ring.

Hardness.

80-84 (Shore A Durometer).

Dielectric strength.

400 Volts/Mil at 60 cycles.

Aging.

1000 hours (Atlas wet UV chamber).

Elongation.

200% min.

Temperature.

Polyvinyl chloride has a crystallization temperature of 5° F (-15° C).

Flammability.

PVC coating will burn if exposed to continuous flame or heat above 400°F (204°C).

Toxicity.

Prolonged exposure to temperatures greater than 200°F (93°C) or fire may cause the PVC coating to release emissions potentially hazardous to the health of those exposed to them.

* To order boxes with the Safety Cover system, add the suffix “SC” to the end, eg: RYC-S7GUAL075SC.
In Class I, Division 1, Group B atmospheres, all conduit runs must have a sealing fitting (not included) field installed adjacent to the enclosure.
If you require malleable iron, please request them from your authorized distributor.
If you require sizes of 2-1/2”, 3” and 4” please request them from your authorized distributor.
