TMC CONNECTOR FOR JACKETED METAL CLAD CABLE

Description

TMC connectors are used to provide a means of feeding cables (armored or unarmored) to an enclosure through conduit or rigid conduit, to form a waterproof mechanical connection, and to terminate MC type cables. and TC to junction boxes, control centers, panels and control enclosures.

Features

  • External PVC coating of 0.040¨ nominal.
  • 0.002¨ nominal yellow urethane interior coating.
  • Yellow urethane protection on the threads.
  • With conical PVC sleeve to ensure sealing with the armored cable.
  • Commercial sizes from 1/2¨ to 4” in diameter.
  • Made of copper-free aluminum (4/10 of 1% maximum), resistant to effort.

80-84 (Shore A Durometer).

Dielectric strength.

400 Volts/Mil at 60 cycles.

Aging.

1000 hours (Atlas wet UV chamber).

Elongation.

200% min.

Temperature.

Polyvinyl chloride has a crystallization temperature of 5° F (-15° C).

Flammability.

PVC coating will burn if exposed to continuous flame or heat above 400°F (204°C).

Toxicity.

Prolonged exposure to temperatures greater than 200°F (93°C) or fire may cause the PVC coating to release emissions potentially hazardous to the health of those exposed to them.
