PVC Coated NPD Derivation Nipples

Description

Made of copper-free aluminum (4/10 of 1% max). With commercial sizes from 1/2” to 1-1/2” in diameter, it is useful for separating communication wires.

  • 0.002¨ nominal yellow urethane interior coating.
  • Yellow urethane protection on the threads.
  • With PVC sleeves to ensure sealing.

80-84 (Shore A Durometer).

Dielectric strength.

400 Volts/Mil at 60 cycles.

Aging.

1000 hours (Atlas wet UV chamber).

Elongation.

200% min.

Temperature.

Polyvinyl chloride has a crystallization temperature of 5° F (-15° C).

Flammability.

PVC coating will burn if exposed to continuous flame or heat above 400°F (204°C).

Toxicity.

Prolonged exposure to temperatures greater than 200°F (93°C) or fire may cause the PVC coating to release emissions potentially hazardous to the health of those exposed to them.
